Advice and info on sailing the Spanish Costas

Sailing in Spain conjures up visions of long sunny days, perfect sea breezes and miles of coastline begging to be explored. Most of the time that's exactly what we experience making it the perfect sailing destination.

Spain being Spain can also suffer from a  lack of information and bureacracy, thats what this site aims to help you with, please pass on your comments and experiences, good and bad so we can pass them on to everyone and make cruising in Spain even more enjoyable.

A trip to a Spanish Boat Show is alway an interesting day out, just like the London and Southampton Boat Shows, manufacturers display new boats, products and new ideas. Even if your not planning on buying anything just yet it gives you a great insight into the Spanish boating ways. With the Barcelona boatshow or Feria Nautica running between the 6th-14th November, it provides the perfect excuse for a weekend away in the City.

As many of you are aware, Shane and Debbie spent the 2010 winter season working in Langkawi, Malaysia. Having fallen in love with Asia, we plan to return for the 2011 winter season. The great news is that we have teamed up with Langkawi Sailing School to offer you Fastrack Yachtmaster training splitting time between Spain and SE Asia, or if you just want to learn to sail with a competent crew course or expand previous knowledge with a Day Skipper or Coastal Skipper course that is not a problem,  please contact us for more info and course dates.
